Our guest – house Poggio Gaio overlooks on the top of a soft Tuscan hill, from which it takes its name.
Of ancient origins but completely restored through techniques which did not forget the rural Tuscan tradition, the villa is surrounded by majestic cypresses, olives and splendid azaleas, by silence and panoramic views of rare beauty on the Tuscan hills, making your stay even more relaxing and unique. Still immerged in the green but at the same time 10 minutes by car far from the breathtaking Florence city centre and less than 5 minutes far from the famous Piazzale Michelangelo, our apartments are the really right choice for whom likes conciliating city/ art/ culture and nature/ hills/ trekking/ relaxing silence. Not to forget, the scientist Galileo Galilei’s home, one of the most important Italian astronomical observatory, the Arcetri one, and the “Torre del Gallo” castle are a few hundreds metres far from our guest – house.
The villa is composed of 4 independent apartments but at the same time linked by an inside stair: “Rosa bianca”, “Palma”, “Fico Verdino” and “Diospero”. All provided with outfitted with kitchen with gas cookers, sink, kitchenware, electric or microwave – oven, coffee machine, toater, huge lunch – living – room, very large double, triple or single bedrooms, WC and box shower separated or not. The whole furniture inside is completely hand-made and Tuscan, simple and at the same time worth of a real fireplace home. Books and magazines (even historical – cultural about Florence) are at your disposal to accompany your stay.
Next to the villa there is also the “Cottage”, modern styled apartment, provided with every comfort too, from the all-outfitted kitchen to the 2 double bedrooms and to the bathroom.

The outside places of the villa offer a sunny courtyard, where it is also possible to stretch clothes, a solarium – terrace with panoramic view, sun beds, barbecue corner for parties with your family and your friends, and hectares of silent, in bloom gardens, framed by the classical Tuscan vegetation. |
