INTERNAL DESCRIPTION
Typical cortonese house , based on a stone stairs with wooden handrail and steel banister , going up for four floors.At the first floor there are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. The detail is steel handmade safe on the wall in the red bedroom.At the second floor the huge kitchen with the big fireplace, the living room with the bow window on wood and glass , with the incredible view of the Valley,the Lake Trasimeno on the left side, the Amiata Mount in front, the cities of Lucignano,Montepulciano, Monte San Savino. 3 steps and we reach the dining room with the windows looking on the Rugapiana, the main street of Cortona.Other details: the clock from 800 century on the wall, the big lamp on the stairs, the fireplace in the living for winter days, closed by a painted panel with scenes of the mountains near Cortona, the forests of Sant ' Egidio, the warehouse next to the kitchen with typical tuscan"madia".
At the third floor another big bathroom with bath and 3 little toilets along the stairs, la chambre de bonne with 2 big single beds, the panoramic terrace.
AROUND THE HOUSE:
The Napoleonic park of the Parterre is 5 minutes walking ,in the summer there is an open air cinema , the Chalet with restaurant and pizzeria, and a walk of 3 panoramic kms looking at the valley to make jogging, at the end of the passeggiata the club of ennis and the Swimming Pool with restaurant and cafe.
The city has 3 principal squares , a carrabile one for the arrival of the autos with parking lot and arrival of the mobile staircase that climbs from the new underlying free parking lot. The square of the Comune with the stairway and the Square of the Theater with the Museum Etrusco MAEC and the Theater Signorelli, where shows the Tuscan Sun Festival.- Very beautiful the alleys that climb to the Knoll, interesting zone with few tourist. They go down from the principal road - the Rugapiana,where is the House Ermenegilda. The necks of Sant' Egidio with lawns and woods for snacks and excursions, the lake Trasimeno, the archaeological excavations of the Melon at the Sodo.
