Valtellina
A great place to visit in the summer as well as in the winter. Valtellina is situated a few kilometres from Milano, in between North and South Europe, in the middle of the
Alps
and the Swiss border, and in the middle of the mountains. In Valtellina the climate is dry, the valley plains are green, and the peaks are white. You can drive from Pian de Spagna at 188 metres of altitude all the way up to
Pizzo Bernina
at 4,000 metres of altitude. The food is traditional, cooked the old fashion way, and there are many special wines.
